So the last 2 days have been rest days and been taking it easy and started getting into homework. But today we had our first day trip and it was incredible. The first place we went to was Runnymede, which is the place where the Magna Carta was originally signed. You would be surprised to find that there is literally nothing there but a big green marsh with 10 chairs hanging out that some artist made to sit there to signify human rights and different rights along the Magna Carta lines. These significant rights are portrayed on the chairs in different ways. There was also a one acre area of American soil that is a dedication for the assassination of JFK. The next place we got to visit was Windsor Castle which was AMAZING! There was just so much to see and it was fantastic. Also today was the day Elizabeth became the longest reigning monarch so it was amazing to be at Windsor Castle which is the oldest inhabited Castle in the UK. The final place we visited was Stoke Poges churchyard which is were the famous poet Thomas Grey wrote a very famous poem and is buried. So we read his poem in the church yard which was pretty cool because a lot of people believe he wrote it in that churchyard. That's it for now but I will be posting again tomorrow because we are going to see Hamlet which I guess here in the UK is a very popular show to see, and Benjamin Cumberbatch is in it.
