OK! So this past week has been crazy and so fun. We had a week trip to more of England and Scotland. There for we had terrible wifi. But on Monday we went to Liverpool which was beautiful and got to visit a slavery museum which showed us how there is slavery in every country not necessarily just africans. It was sad and some points to see what so many people have gone through. Overall Liverpool was super great. But unfortunately we were only there for one night. Tuesday we went to the Lake District, which I want to move to because literally the prettiest place I have ever seen. The Hostel we stayed at was right on the water and the sunsets and just atmosphere around it could not be more beautiful. We also got to see the Preston temple which was also so amazing along with some church history sites. Wednesday we were still in the Lake District but we spent the whole day doing a Wordsworth tour and met with a curator who has 85% of his original works and journals. For some people it was really cool for me not as much. I really loved the opportunity but just wasn't my cup of tea. We got to se the cottage where he wrote it most famous work called "The Prelude". The part I liked the most was to see the first edition printed of Frankenstein. Thursday we got to travel to Edinburgh, Scotland which was amazing the little town is so cute and just has the history of the city still showing from the buildings to the castle that still stands. I also got to go to The Elephant House where J.K. Rowling wrote her Harry Potter books. I even got to see a couple graves in the churchyard behind it where she found some names for her book such as Thomas Riddle and Mcgonagle. Friday we got to go see the Edinburgh Castle which was pretty cool because even though it's not totally accurate I watched the show Reign for awhile all about the Queen of Scots. It was super cool to see all about her and the castle where so many important things happened. We also "walked" (the professors said a nice walk it was a rock climb up a mountain and took an hour) to the top of Arthurs seat and it was a great view. Saturday was our day to come home and on our way we stopped at the Bronte sisters house and two of the three sisters wrote Jane Eyre and Withering Heights. Again, I am not the huge english major so wasn't super great to me but still grateful I got to experience it. Overall the week was amazing and I had such a great time.
